Phoenix Writers emerged from a group of writers who met at Writing School Leicester’s Saturday morning manuscript classes and is first and foremost a critiquing group. Writing can be a lonely occupation and the object of the group is to give and receive friendly support and feedback. Although members write in a wide range of genres and forms, all share a common desire to improve and hone their skills.
Capacity is limited but we welcome membership inquiries. Prospective members are asked to submit a sample of their writing and are then invited to sit in on a taster session in which they are invited to read to the group and join in the critiquing.
